I repinned your fabulous Castle of Spirits photo on Pinterest, but deleted it when I came here and saw your copyright statement. It's a stunning photo, but I'm not sure most people understand that even pinning your image is a violation of your copyright, especially as the Pinterest button is included on your social share buttons. Most just see an image they love and PinIt...they aren't going to read the fine print at the bottom.

Perhaps there is some way you can clarify this further, maybe by placing copyright info right at the top & stating "My images may not be reproduced in any form, including Pinterest, Facebook or any social media site, without my written permission."

I realize this is an ongoing problem for artists and photographers, especially those displaying their work on devianart and other art sites. Perhaps this is something that can be brought up in the devianart community.

Please realize that your average internet user is completely ignorant about copyright issues & such things must be stated explicitly. Hopefully, such statements will not only protect unauthorized reproduction of your work, but serve to educate the public at the same time.
